I chose this rug because to me, a rug is an investment piece and worth the splurge when it is versatile and can be styled in multiple ways. I knew that this rug could be used in various spaces of our home which added to its value.
We used to have a darker blue rug in the space. This cream rug with black speckles adds texture and comfort to our living space. It softens the room up too! I love that it is neutral because I didn’t have to switch ANY other items in the space for it to work.
Okay, now you have to see the rug in our dining area! We’ve lived here three years and have yet to find the right rug for the space. Honestly, we like the floors bare in the summer time, but for added comfort, texture, and warmth for Fall and Winter, it really makes the space. Again, I love the neutral color, as I didn’t have to switch out any existing decor:

I’m telling you, rugs are such a great investment item. They really can transform the look of a room. I also thought it would be fun to try out the rug in my daughter’s new room. We’ve yet to finish the room but thought it could potentially work here too. I love how it adds protection against the concrete flooring (important for a toddler!) I think the rug works well with her light wooded dresser and the mustard and baby pink hues that I’ve incorporated.
As you can see, a rug can really transform the look of a room. In my opinion, rugs are worth the investment, especially when they can be used in multiple rooms!
